Building a dream draait om dromen. Dromen die we samen waar gaan maken. We vroegen iedereen bij Bobbi Bear naar hun droom voor het nieuwe centrum. De kinderen tekenen, de volwassenen vertellen:
'Obviously my only dream right now is to beg, borrow or steal 4.7 million rand so that Bobbi Bear can finally have their own "home" and once that is achieved all our other dreams will become a reality. "One dream at a time"' - Eureka
I have many dreams for Bobbi Bear but a few are:
'For a community Operation War room to combat child trafficking. That Bobbi Bear is a solid bridge to build resilience in abused children that have been removed from their families and placed into other family homes. To have a fully equipped video cognitive interview room for abused children, just like they do in the Amsterdam Vice Squad. Our dream place of safety with the resilience building 6 week programe in operation by the Be-More volunteers, this would be a model for healing abused children world wide. And to set up a factory as a self sustaining project for Bobbi Bear that would make special toys for children to help them heal.' - Jackie
'A house for our children so that when we remove them from the perpetrators they are safe, as there are not enough safe places to put children.' - Thuli
'My dream is to have a safe place for our children so that we don't have to leave them where the perportrators live.' - Ladyfair
'The Robyn/Robina Child Trafficking Programe that I am Project Coordinator of to e up and running as soon as possible including a call centre and Interview room for children as well as a shelter for crisis care victims of trafficking. I can only achieve this once we have our dream home built.' - Shiene
'To have satellites in every area and a core "our home" as a place where as this can be coordinated from.' - Mildred
'To establish my satellite in Umlazi which will enable me to help more children.' - Thandeka
'To have our new home up and running within a year so that the Bobbi Bear team can finally feel that they belong and are no longer orphans.' - Michelle
'To see Bobbi Bear grows bigger and to complete my paramedic studies so that I can be of assistance to our children at our place of safety and at the Tree Clinic.' - Sdudla
'To have a home, that belongs to Bobbi Bear, for the children that we rescue.' - Sindi
'For Bobbi Bear to grow and grow and help more children.' - Thandi
'My dream for Bobbi Bear is to have a safe, beautiful workshop at our new home where I can make furniture and toys for our children.' - Aron
